Shown in the airflow simulations below - the effect of the
Extreme AERO extension:
The first photo shows the turbulent air in the wake region (behind the
mirror) without the AERO extension.
The
second photo shows the smoothed airflow from the AERO extension resulting in
a drag reduction of more than 25%.
(You'll notice from the drag vs mph graph above that just
the basic shape of the professional mirror is about 20% less drag than a
standard racing mirror
and adding the AERO extension
reduces
the drag by almost 50% from a typical racing mirror)
